Experience New Zealand Virtually

VIRTUALLY THE BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD – NEW ZEALAND

Have you heard of New Zealand? Find us “down under” Australia in the beautiful South Pacific. New Zealand is made up of two main islands, the North & South Island as well as our southernmost region: Stewart Island. The scenery here is spectacular, from volcanos to primeval forests, stunning snow-capped mountains, and sub-tropical beaches. There’s a reason New Zealand is home to 3 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

We proudly call ourselves Kiwis and as a small nation of 5 million, we embrace our indigenous Maori culture, and we can’t wait to share our home with you.

Being located 13 hours from Los Angeles and 20 hours from Europe, you know you’re on a journey to somewhere special when you visit.  With a vibrant history of unique birds, forests and culture, some have discovered our secret and have been quietly moving down here to live, work and play from all over the world.

The experience

KO TĀTOU NEI -It’s who we are

New Zealand is a progressive nation of creative idea-makers delivering new solutions while doing our best to care for people and place. Our story is grounded in our values – it’s who we are, what we stand for and what we offer the world.

New Zealand is well-known for being resilient and resourceful. The impact of our dynamic landscapes, and fair share of natural disasters make us stronger as a nation and creates community within the country. You’ll meet these resilient and resourceful folk in our online experiences, showcasing different parts of the country and how we live our lives.

As a team, we also want to enhance New Zealand’s reputation beyond its natural beauty. We like to showcase the extraordinary nature of what we have to offer and point out the uniqueness of New Zealand, with its melting pot of influences around the globe.

New Zealand is a creative place – restless, adventurous, unbound by convention. We can work with others to find brave new ways of addressing problems.

Our team has created a variety of authentic interactive online experiences that offer our corporate clients an opportunity to create a shared experience within their workforce. We are a collective of five enterprising tourism operators from across New Zealand that came together as online experience pioneers. Enabling virtual travelers from around the globe to enjoy the richness of our culture, flora, fauna, and landscapes, as well as learn more about our conservation and sustainability efforts.

Collectively, we bring together more than 100 years of guiding experience in New Zealand, you could not find a more passionate, professional and fun group to discover New Zealand with!

There are so many places to visit, and it's hard to know where to start, so let us help you decide.

Locations

Wanaka - Hosted by Mark

Mark's home is the unspoilt alpine town of Wanaka on New Zealand's South Island - named one of the world's most beautiful villages in 2022 by National Geographics.  Wanaka's scenery is world famous and even plays host to the most photographed tree in New Zealand!  Join Mark for a fun, interactive and engaging nature safari exploring everything from the famous tree to alpine farming life, from sheep shearing to the world's only alpine parrot that lives here. A totally authentic adventure from a true local who's family settled here 160 years ago.

Dunedin – Hosted by Sandrine

Embark on a fun and interactive journey to Dunedin, the Wildlife Capital of New Zealand. I take you to my favourite places to meet the Royal Albatross and the rare penguins on the stunning Otago Peninsula. Dunedin is also a city rich in heritage with a distinctly quirky character. That’s why I fell in love with this place 20 years ago! Discover the jewels of the “Edinburgh of the South”, also famous with its Scarfies (University students) and the steepest street of the world.

Taupo – Hosted by Veronika

The beautiful Lake Taupō is about the size of Singapore – more of an inland sea, really. New Zealand is a geothermal wonderland, sitting on two of the most active calderas globally. Learn about ‘Waimangu’ - which is also home to the largest hot spring in the world. As a German-born "Kiwi”, I have an inner rapport with New Zealand’s abundant landscapes, the wide-open vistas, and of course its people - especially the native Māori and the richness of their culture.

Wellington – Hosted by Nathan

Situated at the southern end of the North Island, Wellington is the capital city of New Zealand. It was recently named "The coolest little capital in the world" by Lonely Planet.  It has a size that allows it to be a little melting pot of people and ideas. It is known as the creative capital, for the mix of arts, music, and commerce. From making Hollywood classics like ‘Lord of the Rings’ to being one of the coffee capitals of the world, there is a lot to love.

West Coast – Hosted by Dale

Discover the West Coast’s unique history, and how the Franz Josef Glacier became the tourist icon that it is today, starting in the gold rush era.  Franz Josef Glacier is home to New Zealand’s rarest Kiwi Bird and you can experience first-hand footage and stories about the conservation of these iconic native birds. If you’re interested in visiting New Zealand, or if you’d just like to learn about our way of life, then join us for this experience!
